Dale Watson is nothing less than a living, breathing classic country jukebox; he's the soul of hardcore honky-tonk incarnate. A longtime staple of the regional dancehall scene as well as a popular draw overseas, Watson was a natural pick for Official Texas State Musician of 2007 (an honor that's also been held by Billy Joe Shaver and Ray Benson of Asleep at the Wheel).
